This is the list of names of "juvenile
lifers" (on the left) and their victims (on the right). Clearly this is only a
partial list - we have been told that there are 103 or more cases in the
Illinois Department of Corrections. It was provided to us courteously by one of
the organizations working on this study of juvenile LWOP with the caveat that
this list is by no means official, complete or even for sure correct. It was
obtained though Lexus searches and pieced together from a variety of sources and
should not be considered definitive. We will publish any additional names as we
receive them.
We wish to notify these victims families
about HB 4384 (formerly 1695), a bill that could potentially free their loved ones' killers
and/or require that they fight such a release in regular parole hearings for the
rest of their lives.
Please contact us to help us reach these families of those killed, listed
below under "victim names", so that they can decide if
they wish to be part of the discussion about possibly changing the life
sentences of the offenders in their cases.

Cases - We note that none of these kinds of details about what crimes
these killers actually committed were included in
the report "Categorically
Less Culpable" which was supposed to be about the 103 JLWOP cases in Illinois.
Once again, it falls to the victims to tell the stories and do the work of
helping those injured by criminal acts.
