Walt Everett
Honored by Connecticut Network to Abolish the Death Penalty
On June 27, The Connecticut Network to Abolish the
Death Penalty presented Reverend Walter Everett with its newly created
Humanitarian Award. Walts son, Scott Everett, was murdered in 1987, and
since that time Walts life has exemplified his commitment to restorative
justice and ending cycles of violence. He has been a leader in the
movement to abolish the death penalty and is one of the founding board
members of Murder Victims Families for Human Rights.
